Fire in Atlas
The 19th of March 2010 black smoke gushed up in the sky from a town called Atlas in the Dasmariñas area about 30 minutes drive from the MWBPI center in Cavite. A team from the center started immediately to maps the needs and contact the local authorities to find out how they could be helped. Some hours later 3 loaded cars left the center with emergency relief aid to 300 families: Food, kitchen utensils and other necessities.

The Filipino survival mentality is remarkable. Even by the ruins of their home were everything they own have been burned to ashes, they keep theire spirits up and hopes for a better tomorrow.
